Thursday morning update

Oh prayer warriors, can you pray?

We've had a hellacious night as Watts' little body goes through serious drug withdrawal from the sedation meds. He is miserable, writhing, and completely confused as to why he is in pain.

Morphine and methadone have been started but we haven't noticed them helping. We are currently weeping and waiting for the doctor to arrive this morning... All I want right now is for Watts to be comfortable again.

The rain today is a perfect backdrop for what is going on in this hospital room right now.

  1. My heart breaks at this news. I will continue to pray without ceasing. Praying that Watts can settle and medicine works soon. Hugs to all of you.

  2. Praying our Lord meets your every need today!

  3. praying this with you guys...

    244 C.M. R. Burnham
    Hope. Ps. 71. 5; Lam. 3. 24-26; Rom. 5. 2; 15. 13
    1 Our Jesus is the God of hope;
    He works it by his power;
    It holds the weak believer up,
    In the distressing hour.

    2 The darkest cloud hope pierces through,
    And waits upon the Lord,
    Expects to prove that all is true
    Throughout the sacred word.

    3 True hope looks out for blessing great;
    And, though they’re long delayed,
    Yet hope’s determined still to wait,
    Until they are conveyed.

    4 Hope long will wait, and wait again,
    And ne’er can give it up,
    Till the blest Lamb, who once was slain,
    Appears the God of hope.

  4. Praying for the 4 of you now along with the hospital staff. This hospital "dance" is not an easy one, with steps forward and steps back... often many times in the same day or even the same few moments. You're not alone in your struggles. Praying you experience our Good Lord's comfort as He upholds you.

  5. You don't know me, (a friend of Kirstie Walker's) but I am praying for Baby Watts and your whole family every day!

  6. I am speechless and in tears for you all. My heart is crying out to the Father for Mercy today.

    These words from a favorite song are on my heart for you..

    "Bind up these broken bones...mercy bend and breathe me back to life"

    Scott Vosburgh

  7. Hannah and Michael, I am so so sorry. My heart breaks for you, I can't imagine the pain yall are going through. We are praying for little Watts daily, as well as the rest of your family. We love yall!
