Numbers

This may not be of interest to some people, but here are a few screen captures from a recent study on Infant Leukemia out of Johns Hopkins. It's hard to find info specific to infants (diagnosis at less than 1 year old). Watts was diagnosed with ALL at 10 months old, making him one of approximately 90 in the US in 2013. (NOTE: you should be able to click on the images to make them bigger).

  1. Oh wow, I didn't realize it was so rare. That's a "one in a million" you really don't want to be a part of :(

  2. thank you for posting this--my brother is a pediatric oncologist at St. Jude's in Baton Rouge and married to Aaron... I have read these type of posts for years, but I do appreciate the fact that the "numbers" have a name with Watts and the Van Patter clan...it is good to just sit with the impact of this and to sit with you guys in prayer... really heavy on my heart this week to pray the blessing of Jesus "blessed is he who is not offended in me" we are sitting with you and thanks for sharing the nitty gritty...xxoo
